Season 2 of "1 vs 100" for Xbox Live announced

Season 2 was cleared for launch at 5:00PM PST on November 19th, 2009 according to gamerscoreblog.com.  1 vs 100 will launch with some tweaks that should make a lot of players happy.

The system for choosing “The One” and “The Mob” has been overhauled, and will now be based solely on score totals throughout the Season, week, and current round.  Answer speed and accuracy will no longer be factors in player selection.

Season 2 will also boast some gameplay adjustments that should make things a little more forgiving.  The One will be getting an enhanced Help, with “Trust the Brain” being replaced by “Trust the Top 10″.   Instead of relying just on the top player in The Mob, The One will now be able to take the most common answer from the top 10 scoring members of The Mob.

The 1 vs 100 system has also been fine tuned by replacing the original Skips (earned for answering 3 questions in a row correctly) with Safeties.  Using a Safety will be equivalent to a correct answer, keeping your score competitive and your streak alive. The only thing you lose with a Safety is the Speed Bonus.

Microsoft has upped the polish, implementing a larger scale studio for the Extended Play arena, and a more dramatic entrance for “The One” during 1 vs 100 Live.  Extended Play will also present the opportunity to boost your score risk free with Bonus Questions that challeng you with more difficult trivia.
Did anyone get selected as The One, or picked for The Mob during the summer Beta?  Did you win any prizes, or did you pull a Claven?  Did your 15 minutes of fame get you any new friend requests, or a flood of hate mail?  Let us know in the comments!
