Free Xbox LIVE Weekend, Nov. 20th-23rd

[clink-clink] “Hear that?  That’s the sound of security, the sound of GOLD!”  No, I’m not Gordon Liddy, and I’m not trying to sell you anything (not right now, anyways).  Just a heads up that a Free Xbox LIVE Gold weekend is inbound…

I’mma let me finish, but Major Nelson had one of the best announcements of the upcoming free Xbox Live Weekends:

“For all Xbox LIVE regions except those in Europe, Xbox LIVE Silver members will have free access from November 20th from 12n ET /9a PT /17:00 GMT until November 23rd from 12n ET /9a PT /17:00 GMT

For All European Xbox LIVE regions, Xbox LIVE Silver member will have free access from November 25th from 17:00 GMT until November 30th at 17:00 GMT”

So Free Xbox Live this Friday at 9am PST, till 9am PST Monday, for everyone except Europe.   Now before Europe starts crying about always getting stuff later, note that Europe is getting five (yes, 5!) whole days of free LIVE.

For all of us in the USA, this comes just in time for the launch of Season 2 of  “1 vs 100 Live”.  The free LIVE weekend also gives Silver members a chance to try out the new Twitter, Facebook, and Last.fm features that are Gold Exlusives.

If you were about to upgrade to Gold, might as well hold off and take advantage of this free weekend, unless you want to get in on “1 vs 100 Extended Play” on Thursday night.
