Fable Goes Double Platinum

Eschewing the increasingly popular GOTY moniker (at least in the US), Microsoft and Lionhead Studios have chosen to officially bring Fable II into the Platinum Hits family. In what is becoming a tradition for the Fable franchise, the new edition of Fable II will include “More Quests, More Locations, More Choices!”
Fable II Platinum Hits will be bundled with the “Knothole Island” and “See the Future” DLC packs, which are currently available on the Xbox Live Marketplace for 800pts ($10) and 560pts ($7) respectively. The Platinum Hits bundle will retail at $29.99 US, the current price of the original release.
No word yet on how the included DLC will be handled for the American release. There are a few possiblities, ranging from a separate disc similar to the Fallout 3 GOTY Edition, through one-time-use download codes as seen in the Game of the Year Edition of Gears of War 2, or on the game disc itself, as in the European GOTY release of Fable II.
For those who already own Fable II, starting November 23rd “See the Future” DLC will be on sale for 400 points as part of the Xbox Live Holiday Deals of the Week. “Knothole Island” was featured as Deal of the Week earlier this year for 560 points.
For gamers that don’t already own Fable II, the Platinum Hits version offers a great value. The title refresh is due in January 2010. Amazon.com lists a release date of January 12th, while Gamestop shows the game coming a week earlier, on January 5th. Neither retailer is offering any pre-order bonuses at this time.
What Could Have Been

This is the cover art for the European version, which came out in September…
I actually like this more than the Original and PH versions!
