Hyperkin’s DDR Tough Pad

Do you play DDR a lot but don’t have the cash to buy an expensive metal pad but hate playing on a paper thin pad that moves around while you play? Well I think I may have found the answer to both those problems. It’s called the Tough Pad from Hyperkin. It’s a light weight foldable pad that doesn’t slip around when you’re playing. It actually absorbs most of the impact from your body so you don’t get tired and your joints don’t ache after playing for a few hours. It comes in two thicknesses one comes in about a ¼ inch thick and the more expensive version comes in at 1 inch thick. For being a foldable pad I thought that it wouldn’t be very responsive but it actually surprised me how sensitive the panels were. Each Panel is textured so you know which one you’re stepping on. The nice thing about this pad is that it is portable and you can take it on the road wherever you go and you don’t have to be embarrassed when you show it to your friends. The pad will work on the Original Xbox, PS2, PC/Mac, and the Wii. I really enjoyed playing around with the pad and it seems like it will take a lot of abuse. The Tough Pad will run $70 for the ¼ inch version and $140 for the 1 inch thick version. You can pick one of these from hyperkins official retailers listed here.
