Final Mass Effect 2 DLC Planned

BioWare has issued a statement saying that the Cerberus Daily News will no longer be updated as of January 24, 2011. However, they also announced that it return a week prior to the final DLC installment and the two weeks prior to the Mass Effect 3 launch later this year. You can read the full statement below.

The Cerberus Daily News will begin a hiatus on January 24th, finishing its run of one full year. Daily postings will cease except for three weeks in 2011: a week of posts will precede a downloadable content release, and two more weeks will lead up to the release of Mass Effect 3.

BioWare promised after what was a dismal showing of downloadable add-ons for the original Mass Effect that the sequel would be shown much more effort. Overall they did do more updates, four compared to two, but we also got much higher quality especially with the recent Lair of the Shadow Broker. We’re excited to see what is to come for Mass Effect 2 and how/if the final batch of content will get us prepped for the final installment in the trilogy.
